Established in 2008 within the Nabang’akeny village of Lokichoggio Sub County, Hannah Emuriakin School emerged as a response to a significant need. The absence of accessible schools in the vicinity, coupled with the challenge of children having to walk long distances of up to five kilometers to the nearest educational institution, prompted the school’s inception. The local community, concerned about the hardships faced by young learners in their quest for education, found themselves compelled to take action. Moreover, the prevalence of vehicles from other organizations operating in Lokichoggio posed potential risks for these children, emphasizing the urgency of providing a local solution. The village’s dedication to addressing this educational gap led to the establishment of Hannah Emuriakin School, a beacon of learning in an area that was once dubbed “Emuriakin,” meaning forgotten.

Our teachers are trained and licensed by TSC, we have employed 16 teachers who have Bachelor’s degree in Education, Diploma, P1 and ECDE certificates, and this is in order to enhance professionalism, efficiency and effectiveness of our school performance.
